I
stock the Sliding X-Back Harness in 20 sizes in order to accommodate dogs that
come in all sizes and shapes.
The idea is to make sure the harness is comfortable on the dog while
allowing for efficient and effective pulling.
I
stock the human Hip Belt in three sizes.
Harnesses and
Hip Belts sizes can be determined via measurement.
I can supply equipment based upon the appropriate measurements. However, the
surest way to select a proper size is to actually try the items on the
human/canine that will wear them.
I have gotten into this business because of my great love of dogs and
cross country skiing.
It is a treat for me to have a dog and his/her human come to me so that I
can select properly fitting items for each of them.
Another
big advantage of coming for the custom fit is that I
will
demonstrate how the items are to be connected and give you a few pointers to
get you started. My
business is the selling of skijoring equipment, not giving skijoring
lessons. However, I am happy to spend some time with you on snow at no charge.
We have an old logging road through the forest behind our house where you can
actually try skijoring with your dog. Bring your dog, your skis, and perhaps a human companion who the dog will
follow. That
person should also have skis. I will mention some tidbits of advice I have
accumulated since 1999 and you can give it a try.
